TOKYO (Reuters) – An seism with a origin ratio of 6.8 impact nearby islands in gray Nihon soured the orient shore of island on Monday, a Asian polity authority said, but there were no unmediated reports of damage.
The quake, at 9:11 a.m. (0011 GMT), struck nearby Japan's Ishigaki Island, an Atlantic 223 km (138 miles) easterly of Taiwan, said the Nihon Meteorological Agency and the U.S. Geological Survey.
A warning for a wave of around 50 cm (20 inches) was issued after quake.
